Purge Outlook Express
Using the Purge Command to Remove Deleted E-mails from Outlook Express (IMAP).
When an e-mail is deleted in Outlook Express it appears with a line through it. To be able to see these deleted e-mails ensure you have 'Show Deleted Messages' ticked.

Show Deleted Messages
It is advisable to clear these deleted messages from your folders from time to time to ensure the folder does not get too big. To do this use the Purge command.

Sometimes the Purge fails to work and the Outlook Express Clean Up needs running.

Clean Up Now...
Reset button (This will delete all headers and messagebodies and will reset the folder(s) so that headers will be re-downloaded).
Now go back and try the Purge command again. It is also possible to purge Outlook Express automatically when OE shuts down.
