Please note this article refers to Cyrus (Carnegie Mellon University) IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol ).
Zybert servers before the end of 2008 may still be using UW IMAP (University of Washington Internet Message Access Protocol).

Please check with Zybert or your reseller before setting up IMAP in your e-mail client.

Cyrus IMAP does NOT require mbox set as the root folder path.

There are many different e-mail clients. Not only are there many clients, there are also a number of versions for each. It is difficult to cover them all, therefore some basic examples are given.

These two settings apply to all e-mail clients:

2) Both the Incoming Mail Server and the Outging Mail Server names are mail
